Admissions

Our Admission process for the 2010-11 school year is currently open. We have few open house dates scheduled:
November 17, January 26. Please email us or call our business office and let us know which one you would like to attend. You can also call us if you would like to receive an
application packet and schedule a visit. We accept applications on a first come, first serve basis.
Children applying for the Montessori Toddlers program must be 18 months of age before September 1, 2010.  Note that registration in the Toddler Class is on-going throughout the year. A spot is available upon reaching the age of 18 months during the school year.

Please read the admission's timeline below for important admission dates and mark your calendars accordingly.

Registration and Application Timeline:

1. Attend an Open House on one of the dates listed above.

2. Complete an application form and submit it to the school along with a $65 application fee.

3. The School will contact you and schedule a visit for you and your child for observation. Following your observation, the School will inform you of the openings and begin registration.

4. To reserve a spot, pay a non-refundable deposit of $250 before April 1. 

5. On April 1st, the school will mail registration forms, immunization and health forms. A one-month tuition deposit is required at this time.

6. Registration after April 1 requires a non-refundable deposit of $250, plus one month of tuition.

Alef Bet Montessori School is a Jewish preschool in Rockville, MD. Our Jewish childcare facility is certified by MD Dept. of Education. The only Rockville Jewish childcare that adopts Montessori methods of education. Alef Bet Montessori is on the borderline of Bethesda area. It is also the only Rockville Montessori school certified by AMI (see What is Montessori/AMI Accreditation). Alef Bet Montessori School is a non-discriminatory school. We are non-denominational and accept children and families of all denominations. Our program offers a Traditional Jewish curricula and our calendar follows the Jewish Holidays.
