Dear Parents,
Shalom! We can’t believe we’ve reached the end of another camp year. It’s been great working with your children. We’ve done a lot of fun activities; from water play to art, painting, coloring, cutting with scissors, movement, storytelling, etc. The children also had fun preparing different types of food; cookies, healthy vegetables, fruits, and natural delights. They’ve met new friends and played with familiar faces as well. They’ve explored the outdoors and gone on a bear hunt. They’ve been to the zoo, on a fishing boat, sailed across the seas, and flown in a plane halfway round the world all the way to Israel (all pretend). Now, all their activities are about to come to an end. We hope you all continue to have safe and healthy adventures for the rest of the Summer. We are looking forward to seeing everyone back in the fall. Shalom, From the Summer Staff: Marcia, Efi, Ofer and Jordon. And Summer Counselors: Amanda, Miranda, Noa, Yacov, Chaim, Rachel, Abby, Saadia, and Sheer.

The Third Week of Camp

Toddler Group
Here is the message from Morah Marcia:
"I cannot believe the 3rd week of camp is over. It has certainly been a week to remember. The pwer outage and the holiday may closed us down for 3 days, but we still had two fun filled days. Thursday we made 4th of July treats and read a story called Happy Birthday America. On Friday the Squeals on Wheels petting zoo visited us, and the toddler class celebrated Maurice's birthday with pizza and fun.  Shabat Shalom,
Morah Marcia. "

Tigers and Preschool
We had a very short week due to the power outage, but we enjoyed the days very much. Today our camp had wonderful visitors: bunnies, hamsters, dove and other animals came over. We were able to pet them and learned their names. Our older group had another wonderful trip to Pump It Up, a moon bouncing park in Gaithursburg.

Here are pictures from week 2 and 3 of camp - there are 92 pics.

The first week of Camp
Toddlers
We are so happy to have your children this week. We have had a fun filled week with many activities going on. We started the week with singing welcome songs and making a welcome banner. The children painted it with rainbow colored paints and lots of colorful stickers. We talked about the colors of the rainbow and listened to the Rainbow Fish story by Marcus Pfister. The children also pretended to be fish when listening to the story.

The children did a lot of waterplay inside and outside. Inside the children pretended to go fishing and wash dishes in our watertable. Outside, the children played in our new swimming pool. They also played outside in our new sandbox. The children made and enjoyed a delicious rainbow fruit salad - cutting and mixing different colored fruits was a very exciting activity for them.

We ended the week with a Shabbat party filled with Shabbat songs and foods plus yummy ice cream. We are looking forward to another fun filled week. Look on the website to see pictures of the children.

Preschool and Tigers
Our week was packed with activities. The kids made several art projects including robot people, clay sculptures and glitter pictures. They baked and enjoyed a sprinkle cake. Outside they played "What time is it Mr. Fox?" and enjoyed our new sandbox on the playground. We played soccer in the morning before it got too hot.  We read Quick as a Cricket and Senses.  The older kids also went swimming, and ice skating. On Friday they will travel to the Corcoran Museum by metro! It was a great week.
