PTO- Parent Committee

 

Purpose

The Parent Committee is open to any Alef Bet Montessori parent. It's purpose is to help organize social and fund-raising events for the school as well as being a source of communication between the parents and the school.  Being a member is a great way to support your child's school in various classroom and outside activities. Please join us and help make this school year a great one! 
 

PTO meeting minutes 1/12/10

 
Meeting lasted half an hour and in attendance were: Jacky Mizrachi, Ariel Ribeiro, Ngina Shulman, Elizabeth Koza, Lauren Milner, Iris Yachin, Zita Weinstein
 
I. Challah Fundraiser: Stefie Brodsky will be sending out the form to order Challah for the rest of the year. 
 
II. Upcoming Events/Activities:  Each event will be led by a committee chair, who will plan & organize volunteer efforts
A. Mishloach Manot: Elizabeth Koza will chair this committee with help from Lauren Milner
B. Purim Party: Ngina Shulman will chair this committee and coordinate with Aleph Bet Staff
C. Field trip chair: Ngina Shulman
D. Lag B'Omer chair: Zita Weinstein
E. End of Year Picnic chair: Jacky Mizrachi
F. Fundraising Gala: Ellie will get back to us on a date and even more details. This is an amazing event and will need many volunteers!
 III. Fundraising idea presented by Ngina: high quality reusable "ziplock" type containers that easily wash in the dishwasher to help raise school funds and reduce waste
 
IV. NEXT MEETING: Wed. January 27 at 9am
